Tube Tales

When I was a MK b-consultant I always share this to my costumers, they found it very interesting about what kind of person they are. Hope you guys too ... wink***

Admiration, inspiration, and the secret shape of your Lipstick.

Ahh ...there's nothing quite as inspiring as a tube of lipstick. Since the time we were little. lipstick has always fascinated, captivated and amused us. Whether we were playing dress-up, wearing it on the sly or making an entrance in our fave color, that little of temping color has always played an important role in our lives.

So what does it all mean? Just turn to the tubes. Research shows that the actual curve of your Rich Red, the flatness of your Mocha Freeze or the slant of your Black Raspberry says a lot about what kind of person you are. We all know that color is indicative of our personality or mood, but what about the shape? It could be more telling that you've ever imagined. So grab of tubes and start comparing. You'll be surprised what your lipstick reveals.

Smooth Mover - You're the epitone of calm, swirling and twirling your tube as you use it. Your easy-going nature, your penchant for peace and lovable personality make you a wonderful friend and an incomparable lifetime companion. Sure, you have surprises, but you save those for the people closest to you. They also get to enjoy your generous heart, your sweet smile and your calming effect. Lucky them.

Slanted View - Your're one for order and perfection. That's why your lipstick looks almost as good as a new tube. Its sharp edge expresses a true need for organization. And that's a good thing! Along with your honesty, your focus and your schedules, you're bound to be something great. People turn to you for advise -- and you turn to simplicity for your happiness. Life without a mess is kind of nice, no?

Curves Ahead - Without a challenge, you're bored! You press on your lipstick hard -- a sign of your intense drive and passion for life. And your opinions might get you into trouble if you were'nt such a people person. In fact, the bigger the party, the better! You thrive on personal contact and activity. It's what makes you happy and what makes you the fabulous person that you are. You avoid schedules, but you need them to stay on track ... and out of stress. Let work go sometimes and enjoy yourself!

Lookin' Sharp - Girl, there's never a dull moment with you! By swirling the tip around as you use it, you creat the perfect point -- kind of like the center of attention. You love adventure, you're outgoing, and your're pretty choosy about the company you keep. Maybe that's why you're more of an independent that most of your friends, but that's okay! You like to choose what you're going to do and when you're going to do it. You may be opinionated, but you're also impulsive. And that's pretty hard to resist.

On The Level - There won't be any funny business from you. You tell it just like your flat-topped lipstick. And even though you're often shy, we know still waters run deep. And you thrive in challenging situations. But watch out! Your conservative tendencies may mean you have a high need for approval. Forget about everyone else, and remember that you're a romantic and a dreamer underneath. As far as friends go, you're true-blue. And there's no bigger compliment.

My next post I will share with you all couple of my friends even myself the before and after make-over. So, abangan nyo po ... double wink*!

Oh yeah- I forgot to share sa inyo ang surprise ni madame Prescy para kay Julie. Thanks so much my dear, we really appreciate it. You did a great job! Click this from Prescy.

Get Fit for Summer

Game 7: Go Pistons

Hello friends, hope you all have a great week. Mine not so bad even though I don't have a computer for a whole week...sad...but I survived! Hubby said he will order parts today or tomorrow and hopefully I'll have my computer back next week.

Anyway, here's some great tips for the summer and don't forget to read your astrology :-) ... I am a SCORPIO.

Does thinking about bathing suit weather make you want to jump back into your oversized wool sweaters? Is spring passing way too quickly for you? Have you not yet lost the ten pounds you gained over the holidays? Don't panic!

As we get older, it gets harder and harder to shed winter weight gain. And, with our increasingly busy schedules, it gets more difficult to discipline ourselves to prepare healthy meals or go to the gym. And there is no guarantee of success.
Yet even when we fail, there is always hope that the next brainchild of an ambitious doctor has the final answer as to how not only to take off unwanted pounds, but to keep them off.

Which is the right nutritional program for you? The Atkins Diet, the South Beach Diet, the Beverly Hills Diet, the Blood Type Diet, etc., etc.? Undoubtedly you know someone who knows someone who shed fifty, sixty, even a hundred pounds on one of these programs. But you also know that for every successful person, there are probably two dozen others who lost a few pounds, then reached a plateau and gave up - and then went on to gain back every ounce.

The problem is often that fad diets place too many limitations on people. First of all, the same diet never works for everybody, because each individual's body chemistry is unique. Secondly, the menus presented are often so boring, that whenever dieters hit a plateau, they don't think it worthwhile to continue eating nothing but meat, nothing but fruit, nothing but brown rice, nothing but cabbage. So they quit, and whatever metabolic processes the diet has triggered cease - which means no more weight lost and a slow-but-sure regain of all the unwanted pounds.

The same can be said for exercise programs. For those who enjoy working up a sweat through vigorous exercise at the gym, this can produce great results. Others, who are more restful souls, prefer more contemplative programs such as yoga or Tai Chi. Still others love to swim laps or run through the park, enjoying the beauties of nature. The more you enjoy a specific mode of exercise, the more likely you are to stick to it. But create a mismatch - and you'll be lucky to last a week.

For the most part, the only program practically guaranteed to produce results for all is the directive, "Eat less, exercise more - and be patient." Luckily, astrology can give us a boost! Here is a general guideline demonstrating what might work best for natives of each Sun Sign:

Aries: (March 20 - April 18)
You might be lucky enough to reach your fitness goal by simply cutting out bread and taking up jogging. Most Aries have a high rate of metabolism, and they love going fast. But it's difficult for you to be patient. Just remember, Aries: If you keep this up, you'll look extra hot for summer.

Taurus: (April 19 - May 19)
Dieting is tough on you, dear Taurus. You love food, especially sweets, and while you're not lazy, exercising is NOT your favorite pastime. For you, a diet plan involving smaller meals allowing a few sweets, coupled with yoga, Tai Chi, and/or a 15-minute walk each day could slim you down - surely but slowly.

Gemini: (May 20 - June 20)
The Twins go like racehorses, and operate mostly on nervous energy. Therefore, a diet/exercise program that relies less on speed and more on building strength, such as protein and weight training, could generate sufficient endurance to see you through hours of beach volleyball.

Cancer: (June 21 - July 21)
You love to cook, Cancer, and to sample your wares while preparing them! Avoid temptation by adopting a nutritional program involving pre-measured, prepared meals. For exercise, try yoga and aerobics videos at home alone. You're not yet comfortable scantily clad in front of others.

Leo: (July 22 - August 21)
If you try to become slim and fit overnight, Leo, you're in danger of failure, because you'll surely cheat. You're in a hurry to look your very best, but you enjoy food too much to cut your calorie intake too low. Be patient and take it slow. Taking up running or swimming might help.

Virgo: (August 22 - September 22)
Health and fitness probably aren't much of a problem for you, Virgo. You don't put on weight easily, and you're conscientious about fitness. For variety, try another dietary regimen and a new exercise program. It might make more of a difference than you'd think.

Libra: (September 23 - October 22)
Balance is your keyword - and when striving for fitness, remember that, Libra. You might work out like an Olympian one moment, and totally quit the next, scarfing down sweets and vegging out in front of the TV. Adopt a program that's reasonable. You'll be more likely to succeed.

Scorpio: (October 23 - November 21)
When you work towards health and fitness, Scorpio, you're capable of cutting down to just enough to keep you alive. But if you do what many Scorpios do to stay fit - embrace the martial arts - you'll need to eat more. You'll never get that black belt if you're starving.

Sagittarius:
(November 22 - December 20)
You're athletic, Sag, and are usually pretty fit. But you probably eat a lot as well, and in spite of your activities, you probably did gain weight over the winter. Avoid weight training and concentrate on running, swimming, and doing the treadmill. For food: concentrate on fruits and salads.

Capricorn:
(December 21 - January 18)
You alternate between eating hardly at all and feasting on gourmet foods - and you almost never find time to exercise with your busy work schedule. However, in summer, the pull of the beaches may be too strong to resist for the Sea Goat. Change your habits. Eat healthy. Walk at least twice a day - perhaps to and from the office.

Aquarius: (January 19 - February 17)
Adventure is your game - and that includes your fitness programs. Exotic foods from faraway places are especially appealing to the Water Bearer, and any outlandish sort of exercise seems the perfect way for you to get in shape. For summer fitness, indulge in lighter faire from around the world, and try a group exercise program to feed your love of people.

Pisces: (February 18 - March 19)
Your biggest challenge is that you tend to retain water. To increase your fitness level, Pisces, avoid excess salt - and, oddly enough, drink plenty of water. Concentrate on fruits and vegetables, and for exercise, yoga by far suits your temperament well. A walk each day would also make a huge difference. Remember: you are ruled by the feet - so splurge on some great walking shoes!

Have a great weekend and God Bless!

10 Spring Beauty Looks You'll Love

Since it's Spring, I searched for a Spring beauty looks. So, here it is, enjoy!

1. Defined Eyelids

Makeup artists gave dark, smoky shadows a rest this spring and instead pulled out pencil and liquid liners to add intrigue to eyes. "Liner produces a fun, retro look that's easy to pull off," says runway-makeup artist Vincent Longo.

Tip: "The biggest mistake women make with liner is attempting to draw a straight line across the lid. It should be dotted between the upper lashes for the most natural outcome," says Linda Cantello, runway-makeup artist and artistic adviser of Yves Saint Laurent.

2. Orange Shadow

"Orange is a color that we all forgot for a while, but it is a great hue to play with; it's more womanly than pink," says Shiseido The Makeup Color Creator Tom Pecheux.

Tip: Choose creamy shadows, which spread well and are practically sheer. Or, if you prefer powders, choose those with a bit of gold mixed in with the orange, as they yield a softer effect, says Sandrine Van Slee (for Dior), the makeup artist who did the large images in this story.

3. Exaggerated Lashes

Long, thick lashes have officially emerged as the beauty accessory of the moment. "Eyes are, after all, the focal point of the face," says Shu Uemura Artistic Director Gina Brooke.

Tip: A host of new mascaras can help you achieve length and volume. To avoid clumps, "detangle" lashes ‑- before applying mascara ‑- with an old, clean wand.

4. Teased Hair

This spring's puffed-at-the-crown coif is super-subtle. The look is achieved through judicious back-combing, and, according to Aveda Editorial Hairstylist Kevin Ryan, it works equally well on short and long hair.

Tip: Ryan recommends teasing using a thin brush rather than a comb, which can be harsh on your hair.

5. Controlled Curls

The pretty, wavy hair so popular on catwalks this season is the perfect complement to spring's light, airy clothing, says runway hair stylist Orlando Pita.

Tip: Waves work best on just-washed hair. After blow-drying, add in waves with a curling iron. Last, use a texturizing product to give ends body.

6. Ponytails

Spotted at: About 80 percent of the runway shows, including Oscar de la Renta, Lanvin and Jil Sander, according to Redken Creative Consultant Guido Palau"I did a lot of variations on the ponytail this season," says Palau. "It's a great style because you can personalize it ‑- and it suits everyone."

Tip: To add volume to your ponytail, rather than teasing the tail, tease the roots near the spot where you intend to slide in your elastic. Then gather tresses in the elastic, suggests Pita.

7. Side Parts

Boho middle parts have given way to stronger side divisions. Palau, who did them at Prada, maintains that it's because this type of part flatters every face shape.

Tip: To control flyaways, spritz a dry setting spray onto your hands and run them down both sides of your part.

8. Lipstick

"The return to lipstick actually started about a year ago," says Longo. "Women are after the sheen and depth that only lipstick offers."

Tip: The season's palette ranged from bold red to pink. The freshest way to sport these hues is to pair with a coat of mascara and a healthy dose of blush.

9. A Natural Palette

"Spring is the time to lighten up," says Brooke. The best way to pare down without looking drab? Start by applying foundation and concealer only where necessary, then add blush, mascara and lipstick that matches your lip tone. Last, dab a silvery highlighter onto the tops of your cheekbones to make your eyes stand out.

Tip: Spritz on a hydrating spray to preserve your dewy finish (we like Sue Devitt's Beauty Luminous Finishing Mist).

10. Flushed Cheeks

"Rather than concentrate color on just the apples, we spread it all over the cheek," says Pecheux.

Tip: To prevent this look from appearing heavy-handed, apply foundation to your T-zone only ‑- skipping cheeks entirely ‑- then blend in blush. This maintains the "transparency" of your skin.
