Retrain your brain

I am not a morning person at all, i'm more active in afternoon.

Even if you're not a morning person, setting your alarm may give your exercise habit a lift: In a study of 500 fitness-class goers at the Southwest Health Institute in Phoenix, 75 percent of those who exercised in the A.M. stuck with the program. Here's how to become the early bird who gets the firm: Rest your body's clock. Wake up 15 minutes earlier one week, a half hour earlier the next week, and so on, until there's time to do your routine. Then shock your system. Turn on the lights and radio and plant your feet on the floor—all tell your brain you're awake. Once steady, motivate with a light jog in place rather than stretches, because faster-paced moves kick-start muscles.
